Kevin Byrnes is a skilled litigator with over 35 years of experience representing a wide variety of clients in numerous state and federal civil, criminal and administrative proceedings. Notably, he has tried over 150 cases to juries, and has handled innumerable administrative proceedings before state and federal boards. Mr. Byrnes has also represented private companies and individuals across the globe, including in Germany, Canada, Kenya, Israel, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who had claims related to actions by American companies and the U.S. Government.
Through his career, he has counseled and assisted clients on matters related to employment, business litigation, creation and development, disability litigation, real property, and issues touching civil rights, constitutional and privacy claims, creating a holistic and unique legal practice.
Adding to his comprehensive practice, Mr. Byrnes supports medical practices and professionals by guiding doctors and other medical professionals, including nurses, nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers and other licensed personnel in employment, business creation, expansion, and management matters and in advising and representing them in criminal, civil and administrative inquiries and proceedings before investigators, law enforcement personnel or the Board of Medicine.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Byrnes also represents active duty and drilling combat veterans, and often works with private groups like the VFW to address issues ranging from medical and psychological treatment for such persons by the VA, private physicians, and employers, to strengthening protections accorded under USERRA, particularly as it relates to drilling reservists, in order to provide military members the same protections as other civil rights laws.
